International Household Staffing for Global Families
Elite Household HR helps them staff a new U.S. household and build teams that travel with them. Our founder, Thalya Olmos, MBA, is a bilingual Colombian-Lebanese Miami native who has led household placements since 2011.
Where We Have Placed Staff Abroad
Beyond the United States, we have placed household staff in:
- South America
- Saudi Arabia
- Switzerland
- The United Kingdom
- Italy
Every international search is led personally by our founder, with interviews by video and in person as the role requires.
Relocating to Miami? Start With Your Household Team
Moving a family to the United States means becoming a U.S. household employer, often for the first time. Rules on pay, taxes and employment agreements differ from what many families know at home. The IRS explains household employer duties in Publication 926.
We help relocating families:
- Decide which roles they need in the first 90 days, and which can wait
- Recruit staff who speak the family’s language and understand its culture
- Set up compliant employment agreements and pay structures, with your accountant or family office
- Prepare staff before the family arrives, so the home is running on day one
See where we place staff locally on our Miami page.
Staff Who Travel With Your Family
- Travel nannies who accompany children between homes and countries
- Personal and family assistants who manage international travel and households
- Private chefs for families who travel or entertain abroad
- Estate managers for families with residences in several countries
- Yacht and private-travel household staff
Languages and Cultural Fit
We regularly place Spanish-speaking staff, and we recruit for Portuguese, French and other languages on request. Culture matters as much as language: food, faith, privacy expectations and parenting style all shape who will fit your home. We ask about all of it before we recruit.
Neurodiversity-Informed Placement, Wherever You Live
Families raising a child with developmental differences often find specialized nannies hard to source abroad. Our founder is the former Executive Director of The Victory Center for Autism. We place special needs nannies who travel or relocate with the family.
